Bill attended Lakeside School and began computer programming at the age of thirteen. In 1970 he went into a business with Paul Allen at the age of fifteen. They created the Traf-o-Data and got $20,000 out of it. Traf-o-Data was a computer program that monitored traffic patterns in Seattle. When he took the SAT he scored a 1590 out of 1600. His parents wanted him to do something with law so he enrolled at Harvard and got in. He spent more time in the computer lab than in his actual class. |
